Child Care Costs Insurance Cover
By Sandy Naidu | August 17, 2008
My two year old son started child care in July. He goes to care two days a week. However since starting the care, he fell sick numerous times and as a result had to miss out on care for about 4 days already. I have an older child who went through child care as well. And so I am used to kids falling sick when they start child care. I am not against this - I strongly believe that child care actually increases the immunity.
The fact that I have to pay for the care, even for the days that my son misses the care is what is really annoying. On the days that he is home sick, I can’t really get any work done but the worse part is I am paying for the care. I understand that is how child care works here in Australia. But it is still annoying.
You can’t blame me when I say my eyes literally popped out when I read about a new insurance policy which covers you for the child care costs when your child is sick.
I hurriedly typed in the URL, did an analysis of services on offer. Stay tuned for my post about this new cover.
