Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance
By Sandy Naidu | July 7, 2008
For a few years now we have had our comprehensive motor vehicle insurance with NRMA. This year, I decided to shop around - And the shopping was all done from the comfort of my own desk. Most big insurance companies (like AAMI and GIO) have an online quote system. This system takes you through a series of questions about your car and the drivers of the car. The questions are all quite straight forward - even a ‘non car geek’ like me was able to answer all the questions. If you are not sure about your car details then it might come in handy though to have the paperwork from your previous insurer next to you - because this paperwork will usually have all the answers about your car.

Once you get a quote, you can save the quote and then move over to the next insurer and get an online quote from them. |
In the end, when you are happy that you have covered most of the reputable insurers, decide which quote you want to go with…Go back to their website, retrieve your quote and pay online….And when the receipt pops up, print it…The paper copy will arrive in mail in a few days. I was able to save over 350 dollars by this process - all without leaving the house.
